Maple Bacon Bourbon Cupcakes


1 box of yellow cake mix
3 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup water
3 tablespoons maple syrup
1 1/2 cup crispy bacon, crumbled
3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup butter, softened
2 tablespoons of milk
1 tablespoon of Town Branch Bourbon



  1. Preheat oven to 325 F
  2. Prepare yellow cake mix according to instructions on box
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of maple syrup to cake mix
  4. Fold in 1 cup of crumbled bacon, save the remaining 1/2 cup for later
  5. Fill cupcake tins 3/4 full
  6. Bake at 325 F for 18-20 minutues


  1. Add 3 cups powdered sugar to a bowl 
  2. Add 1/3 cup butter, softened
  3. Add 1 tablespoon milk
  4. Blend icing on high until smooth (add more milk if necessary)
  5. Add 1 tablespoon of Town Branch Bourbon
  6. Add 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  7. Blend until smooth

Ice cupcakes after they have cooled, then top with bacon crumbles and enjoy!
